Rae Imeson was born in Kamloops, BC in 1993. She attended Thompson Rivers University from 2011-2015, obtaining her Visual Arts Certificate, Visual Arts Diploma, and Bachelor of Arts focusing in Visual Arts and English. She is interested in all mediums but her main focus recently is photography. The main topic of her work that she wishes to continue to explore is issues surrounding feminism and how women are viewed under the male gaze. However, her work explores many topics; some include explorations of aquatic life, the human body, text, and emotion.
